Let-R-Edge®
A beautiful sign without proper maintenance will start looking old and dirty. Look around at existing signs and see how weather and time have changed the original look of the sign. Some fare much better than others!
If you are purchasing a sign or up-grading your existing sign, you have to consider not only what the sign will cost today, but how long it will continue looking crisp and clean, and how much maintenance and repair it will require. That is how you get the best value for your investment. An illuminated channel letter sign, will offer many different options and appearances that will require different means of fabrication.

Pan-Channel Letters
A traditional way of manufacturing channel letters is called Pan-Channel letters and has been in use for decades. With this particular system, the back and sides of the letter are made with metal. A translucent face is fastened onto the letter body by means of a plastic trim material that allows the channel to be closed, much like fitting a shoebox lid on top of the box.
Servicing the lighting elements requires removing the face of the letter. Reaching into and working inside this enclosure can be awkward in some narrow stroke letters. Often the plastic trim strip may be damaged as the letter face is removed and may require complete replacement. The plastic trim component of the sign ages at a faster rate than the metal siding and acrylic face of the letter and often fails first, leaving your sign face-less, and even posing a risk of property or personal damage.
